Research Material (RM) Specialist


Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Research Material (RM) Specialist with 1-2 years of experience in a wet lab environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of handling raw materials, packing materials, and sampling procedures. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and integrity of materials used in our research and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raw Material Management:
    • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of raw materials.
    • Ensure all raw materials meet quality standards and specifications before use.
    • Maintain accurate records of raw material inventories and usage.
  • Packing Material Handling:
    • Manage the inventory of packing materials and ensure proper storage.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to procure packing materials as needed.
    • Monitor packing material quality and report any issues to the relevant team.
  • Sampling Procedures:
    • Conduct sampling of raw materials and finished products according to established protocols.
    • Perform initial tests and inspections on samples to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Document and report findings from sampling activities.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines within the lab environment.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to materials and sampling.
    • Support audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a wet lab environment.
  • Experience with handling and managing raw and packing materials.
  • Familiarity with sampling techniques and quality control processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using lab equipment and software for documentation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with material compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.

Working Conditions:

  • Position based in a laboratory setting with occasional exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Standard working hours with potential for occasional extended hours as required.
