Your Role:

As a Java engineering intern at UBS, you will:

• Apply strong academic prowess and technical acumen to solve complex programming challenges.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Python and R languages, with expertise in Apache Spark, PySpark, and SparklyR for advanced data processing.
• Utilize GUI frameworks such as Streamlit and Dash to develop user-friendly interfaces.
• Gain exposure to container technologies (Containers, Kubernetes), version control (GitLab), and build pipelines.
• Possess foundational knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and GenAI concepts.
• Communicate effectively in English, contributing to a global team environment.

Internship Details:

This 4-6 month internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial systems and collaborate with diverse teams globally. Join our Trade and Transfer Assets team and be at the forefront of innovative financial solutions.

Your Profile:

To qualify for this internship, you should:

• Have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or obtained a master’s degree within the last 6 months.
• Demonstrate solid Java programming skills and a willingness to learn Kotlin.
• Possess knowledge of frameworks like Spring, Node.js, or React.
• Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and deployment is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with virtualization, containerization, Kafka, and APIs is a plus.
