Job Description:

Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer for a contract role. As a Data Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining robust data infrastructure to support our growing data needs. Your expertise in SQL, Python, ETL processes, and cloud technologies will drive efficiency and streamline our data operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Build: Develop and maintain scalable data infrastructure to meet business needs.
• Data Integration: Utilize ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, Alteryx, Talend) to manage data integration and transformation.
• SQL Expertise: Write and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL queries.
• Cloud Technologies: Apply your proficiency in Azure, AWS, or GCP to support data operations.
• API Integration: Implement and manage API integrations, with a focus on REST APIs.
• Job Scheduling: Experience with job scheduling tools like Control-M, Autosys, Airflow, or Luigi is a plus.
• ETL and DevOps: Manage complex ETL mappings, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tools (Docker, Jenkins).
• Full Lifecycle: Lead at least two full lifecycle implementations from design to delivery.
• Cloud Tools: Hands-on experience with AWS (Amazon Athena, EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, Elasticsearch, Glue, QuickSight) or Azure (Synapse, Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI).
• Data Modeling: Apply data modeling concepts and dimensional modeling to data warehousing solutions.
• Architecture and Growth: Guide architectural choices and develop plans to support cloud adoption.
• Networking & Security: Understand networking, security, and design principles in cloud environments.
• Proof of Concept (POC): Perform POCs on tools and provide recommendations for business needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in data engineering.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, ETL tools, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Additional Skills: API integration, job scheduling tools, DevOps practices, and data warehousing expertise.
