Job Summary: As a Big Data Automation Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of big data applications and systems. You will specialize in automating test processes, conducting comprehensive tests on platforms like Hadoop and Hive, and collaborating closely with data engineers and developers to identify and resolve issues. This role requires a strong understanding of Big Data technologies, Agile methodologies, and proficiency in SQL and Shell Scripting.

Roles & Responsibilities: In this role, you will:

• Perform Big Data Testing on platforms such as Hadoop and Hive using HiveQL and other big data technologies to automate validation processes.
• Develop and implement Test Automation Frameworks for validating back-end systems including RDBMS, file systems, Kafka sources, and Big Data targets.
• Operate within Agile environments, utilizing tools like Jira, ALM, and Confluence to manage testing processes efficiently.
• Utilize and leverage Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and PySpark on Linux platforms for effective testing and validation.
• Apply SQL and Shell Scripting expertise to automate data validation processes and ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Implement automated solutions for data transformation and comparison, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in testing procedures.
• Manage Defect management and oversee the defect life cycle to ensure timely resolution and mitigation of issues.
• Adhere to established testing processes and standards, ensuring compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to manage team dynamics effectively and engage in client interactions as needed.

Education: Candidates with a degree in BE/B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc, M.Sc, MBA, or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
